Anonymous asked: Since in many cases the clothing was designed with men or masculine types in mind, it doesn't hurt to call it menswear but I'm really liking the sound of androwear. It alludes to the traditional masculine history behind the clothes while not saying it's explicitly "men's". It's hard to be completely neutral when the garments carry so much background and context....
ladiesgayladieslike asked: Traditionally Menswear? Or something using the word tradition. Or what about using the word Tailored?
runawayjoincircus asked: "Andro-wear(or -clothes/-vestments/-regalia/-what have you)"? Since "andro-" as a prefix can mean "masculine" as well as "male". :)
lottelodge asked: Male-assigned formal wear? Or I prefer just formal wear.

joshuadgp asked: Do you know of a convenient way of referring to this sort of clothing (waistcoats, dress shirts, sportcoats, blazers, suits, ties, and all the things I am missing out) in a gender-neutral way?
Most of the time I see "menswear" which is a little vague and also rather... presumptive? It's not really accurate to call it menswear if women are wearing it in my opinion.
